When peak surcharge applies
+15% on three windows:
- Friday 16:00–19:00 — Friday rush, M25 congestion peaks
- Sunday 18:00–22:00 — Sunday evening return traffic

How the fares are calculated
Round-trip miles × operating cost + driver earnings. Fuel £0.135/mile, maintenance £0.10/mile, driver earnings £30/hour at 45 mph average. Rounded up to nearest £5, minimum £80.
The driver returns to Aylesbury empty after every drop — that's why long-distance per-mile rate is higher than a city minicab. See the worked example.
Cancellation policy
- More than 12 hours before pickup: free, no fee
- 4 to 12 hours: 50% fare
- Less than 4 hours: 100% fare
- Flight cancellation by airline: booking moves to rebooked flight at no fee

What we DON'T charge for
Things competitors and aggregators commonly add to your bill that Kings doesn't:
- ❌ "Service fee" or "booking fee" — 10-15% on aggregator sites
